Kinematics
Aligned CAE has the capability to design and analyze mechanisms
ranging from simple cam-lever arrangements to complex multi member
systems with structurally non linear components. Aligned CAE
utilizes high end kinematic simulation tools for the development and
optimization of mechanical systems. Potential tools include (but are
not limited to)
- MSC Adams
- RecurDyn
Kinematics simulation can be applied to nearly every physical
mechanism. Results can help predict loads and potential mechanism
failures, whilst provide important data for the design optimization
process.
Some applications of kinematics analysis include:
- Seat mechanisms
- Automotive HVAC mechanism development
- Sunroof mechanisms
- Suspension geometry
- Wiper systems
Kinematic simulations are particularly powerful when combined with FEA, allowing the optimization of component mass vs. strength under dynamic loads.
